Kristin Chenoweth: My Love Letter to Broadway Tickets
Kristin Chenoweth, who is known for her performances on and off-Broadway as well as on television and in film, will be performing a series of concerts this fall celebrating the history of Broadway. Chenoweth will be starring in “My Love Letter to Broadway” at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre from November 2 to 13.
Performances of Classic Broadway Songs
Chenoweth said she wants to represent the Broadway community. She will sing many classic songs by Broadway composers such as Rodgers, Bernstein, Porter, and Gershwin, as well as pieces from contemporary shows such as Wicked and Hamilton. Each concert will be unique because she plans to perform a different collection of songs every night. The music will be directed by Mary-Mitchell Campbell, and the costumes will be designed by Christian Siriano.
Past Performances on and off-Broadway
Chenoweth has starred in several plays and musicals on and off-Broadway. She earned a Tony Award in 1999 for her performance as Sally in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. She was the first actress to play the role of Glinda in the musical Wicked in 2003, which earned her a Tony nomination. She starred in Promises, Promises on Broadway in 2010. Chenoweth last appeared on Broadway in the revival of On the Twentieth Century in 2015. She was nominated for a Tony Award for her performance.
Television and Film Performances
Chenoweth has appeared in films that include Bewitched, The Pink Panther, and RV and on television shows including The West Wing, The Good Wife, and Pushing Daisies. Chenoweth won an Emmy Award for her performance in Pushing Daisies in 2007. She has also provided voices for several animated features.
New Album
Her new album, The Art of Elegance, will be released digitally on September 23. Physical copies will be available on September 30. It will include 13 tracks featuring classic songs.
