Fun Home, based on the graphic memoir by Alison Bechdel (of the Bechdel Test), is the first Broadway musical with a lesbian protagonist. Between the original Off-Broadway and original Broadway productions, Fun Home has brought home 15 awards, including five Tony Awards in 2015. With over 30 additional nominations since 2014, this musical has hit a home run! Fun Home premiered Off-Broadway at The Public Theater in late September 2013. It previewed on Broadway one-and-a-half years later, at the Circle in the Square Theatre on West 50th Street in Manhattan.
