The Master Builder on Broadway Tickets

The Master Builder, the classic 1892 play written by Henrik Ibsen, will open at a theater that has yet to be announced on Broadway this fall. This will be the first Broadway revival of the play since Earle Hyman’s production in 1992. The Master Builder ran for a limited engagement in London from January 25 to March 19.

Award-Winning Cast and Creative Team

The Master Builder will star Ralph Fiennes, Linda Emond, and Sarah Snook and will be directed by Matthew Warchus. The Broadway production will have a new translation by David Hare and will be produced by Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Award winner Scott Rudin.

Fiennes won a Tony Award for his performance as Hamlet and earned a nomination for his role in Faith Healer. He was nominated for Oscars for his performances in The English Patient and Schindler’s List. Linda Emond is a three-time Tony nominee who received nods for her work in Cabaret, Death of a Salesman, and Life x 3. Snook has appeared in several plays, including King Lear, Lovely/Ugly, Crestfall, and S27.

Fulfilling a Life’s Dream

Hilde, a girl from the country played by Snook, shows up unexpectedly and inspires him to pursue his longtime goal of designing a grand church.
